The QMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) at SME Aerospace. This role ensures that all quality standards are met and that the company adheres to industry regulations and customer requirements. The QMS Engineer will work closely with various departments to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS, identify areas for improvement, and lead initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- To work with the other QMS Engineer for the efficient management of the Quality Mangement System (QMS) Section.

To coordinate in the incorporating of amendments to existing documents and the
subsequent uploading of the amendments on to the computerized Documents
Management & Retention System (DMRS)

To monitor the computerized scanning and archiving of completed process sheets and
ensuring that they are safely stored and easily retrieved.
- To schedule and implement internal audits (system, process & product) in SMEA.
- To monitor and/or undertake general day-to-day surveillance with the Quality Auditor.
- To conduct audits on potential sub-contractors when required and scheduled audits of approved sub-contractors.
- To review responses to the Quality Evaluation Questionnaire received from potential Suppliers and subsequently to recommend or not their Approval.
- To coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Annual Competency Test (every quarter) for eligible technicians from Production.

Perform any related duty assigned by the Acting Senior Manager, Quality.
Must Have

Minimum a bachelor’s degree in engineering,
quality management or a related field is often
required. Advanced degrees or certifications can be
beneficial.

Minimum 2 years related working experience

Have analytical skills for problem-solving and
process improvement. Have ability to effectively communicate quality standards and
procedures. Can manage and implement quality projects. Familiar with industry
specific quality standards and regulations.
